Suicide bomber kills 20 Afghan civilians near NATO base Jun 6th 2012, 07:31 KANDAHAR, Afghanistan | Wed Jun 6, 2012 3:10am EDT KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - - At least 20 Afghan civilians were killed on Wednesday when a bomb planted on a motorbike exploded near the airport in the southern city of Kandahar, officials said. "The bomb exploded near the airport in a crowded area, killing 20 civilians and wounding 22," said Ahmad Faisal, a spokesman for the provincial governor. Afghanistan's NATO-led force has a big base at the airport.
